Siargao Island is located in Surigao del Norte. It has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, famous for its wave surfing and the famous cloud 9. It is known as the surfing capital of the Philippines. Siargao is a tear drop shaped island where the annual Siargao Cup, a domestic and international surfing competition is held. The waves was discovered in the late 1980's and was named by an American photographer John S. Callahan.
